Reconstructed Wine Barrel Sculpture
Elegant and rugged, this free standing sculpture is fashioned from red wine barrel staves, each sanded and oiled as a piece of fine furniture. Joined in what may appear to be a random manor, sixty six staves are arranged in a predetermined pattern that ebb and flow in an upward spiral creating gentle balanced movement. A powder coated thirty six inch scalloped tilling disk provides weight and stability as the sculpture’s base. Completing this piece are two milled aluminum details, the cone fitted between the base and wood staves provides a graceful transition while the second appears to compress the assembly.
This sculpture may also be ordered and installed as a hanging object.
